Jusuf Kalla Opens Handicraft Exhibition

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The exhibition of Indonesian Handicraft Products will start today and continue until March 22 at the Jakarta Convention Center.

Vice President Jusuf Kalla was scheduled to open the exhibition this morning at 9am, together with Industry Minister, Fahmi Idris.

The theme of the exhibition is “Bangga Kriya Kreatif Indonesia” or translated as “Proud of Indonesian Products”.

The exhibition is held to celebrate the 29th anniversary of the National Handicraft Council.

Various handicraft products from Indonesia will be shown in this exhibition.

The growth of this creative industry is expected to cover weakening conventional exports.

It is predicted that the industry will grow by around 140 percent this year.
