Deutsche Welle launches two dedicated channels in Indonesia

The Jakarta Post, Jakarta | Wed, 03/18/2009 10:06 PM

Germany's international broadcaster Deutsche Welle (DW) has on Wednesday launched two dedicated channels that would allow Indonesian viewers to access up to 18 hours of English programs on European lifestyle, culture, the arts, business and politics.

"Europe has always been a center of innovation and trendsetting when it comes to lifestyle, culture and the arts, fashion, music composition, architectural and interior design," DW Distribution Director Petra Schneider said.

"With this new channel, we are offering our audience in Indonesia a window to European living via our high-quality programming -- with 18 hours of English language," she added. (amr)
