“ … Here is another one. A change in what Human nature will allow for government. "Careful, Kryon, don't talk about politics. You'll get in trouble." I won't get in trouble. I'm going to tell you to watch for leadership that cares about you. "You mean politics is going to change?" It already has. It's beginning. Watch for it. You're going to see a total phase-out of old energy dictatorships eventually. The potential is that you're going to see that before 2013.

They're going to fall over, you know, because the energy of the population will not sustain an old energy leader ..."

RI to host UN conference on corruption

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia will host the 2nd Conference of Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) in Bali on January 28-February 1.

"President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is slated to open the conference," Director for Legal Affairs and International Agreement of the Foreign Ministry Eddy Pratomo said on Friday.

He said more than 1,000 representatives from 140 countries consisting of 104 parties and 36 signatories as well as from international institutions and non-governmental organizations would attend the meeting.

"The Indonesian delegation will among others consist of the minister of foreign affairs, minister for justice and human rights, police chief, chief of the anti-corruption body, head of the national development planning body and the attorney general," he said.

He added the meeting would discuss four agendas, namely mechanism of reviewing convention, returning of ill-gotten assets, technical cooperation and corruption committed by public officials.

He said several events would also be held on the occasion of the five-day conference, namely civil society forum, parliamentary forum, stolen asset recovery (SAR) workshop, business coalition and peer media forum.

As a party to UNCAC and host of the conference, he said, Indonesia has coordinated with a number of relevant institutions and held dialogs with non-governmental organizations and the secretariat of the United Nations.

"And all the obligations as the host have been included in the Host Country Agreement signed by the Indonesian ambassador based in Vienna in July last year," he said.

The decision on the appointment of Indonesia as the host was taken in the first session of the Conference of Parties to the UNCAC held in Jordan on December 10-16 in 2006.
