“ … Here is another one. A change in what Human nature will allow for government. "Careful, Kryon, don't talk about politics. You'll get in trouble." I won't get in trouble. I'm going to tell you to watch for leadership that cares about you. "You mean politics is going to change?" It already has. It's beginning. Watch for it. You're going to see a total phase-out of old energy dictatorships eventually. The potential is that you're going to see that before 2013.

They're going to fall over, you know, because the energy of the population will not sustain an old energy leader ..."

DailyBread Bakery plans IPO in 2008

The Jakarta Post

PT Adirasa Selaras Abadi, which is the firm behind popular local brand DailyBread Bakery, plans to go public in the first quarter of 2008 to help it expand and tap the country's growing food retailing industry.

Adirasa, which will become the first local bakery to go public, plans to sell 30 percent of its shares and raise around Rp 50 billion (around US$5.4 million) in proceeds, which will mostly be used to increase the number of its retail outlets from 32 to 100.

Vincent M. Widjaja, president director of Makinta Securities, which is acting as the underwriter of the IPO, said Monday that the figure for the proceeds was an early estimate as the share price range had yet to be calculated.

"We will announce it soon," he said, adding that timing would be important to setting the price.

Eddy Sutanto, Adirasa president, said the additional 68 outlets would all be opened next year, with 70 percent of them in Jakarta and Java, and the rest in Sumatra and South Sulawesi.

It also plans to export its products to the Middle East.

Following the expansion, he said, the firm expected to post Rp 80 billion in revenue next year and Rp 18 billion in net profit.

Established in 1996, PT Adirasa produces frozen pastry and cake dough, and sells its products through three different outlet brands; Bakery Caf‚, X'press and Just Bakery. (JP/ind)
