Sido Muncul to go public

Ungaran, C Java (ANTARA News) - PT Sido Muncul, Indonesia`s largest herbal medicine maker, will soon sell its shares to the public to finance business expansion, its president director said.

"We are in the middle of preparing everything to go public," Irwan Hidayat said Friday.

But he stopped short of revealing when exactly the company would sell its shares to the public, saying the company was making an inventory of its assets, including land and buildings, and cash to pay back its banking debts.

"It is now easy to sell shares to the public as the government is giving privileges to companies wishing to list their shares at the stock exchange. If all qualifications have been completed we can list our shares at the Jakarta Stock Exchange in three months` time," he said.
