Fertilizer Plant to be Built in Donggi-Senoro

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The government will build a fertilizer plant near the Donggi-Senoro gas field. According to Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Hatta Rajasa, the central Indonesia region needs a fertilizer plant. “We plan to do it,” Hatta said in Jakarta on Friday.

Hatta added that the plant is crucial to meet local demands for fertilizer. The Donggi-Senoro gas production would best be used by a fertilizer plant, which will be constructed near the gas field area.

However, Hatta could not confirm yet where the financing will be coming from. “It could be anyone,” he said.
