Chinese investor to build Cisumdawu toll road

A Chinese investor is set to build a toll road connecting Purwakarta, Bandung and Cileunyi in West Java, Governor Ahmad Heryawan said Wednesday.

"The construction project of Cisamdawu toll road is soon to start. A memorandum of understanding with the investor has been signed," he told Antara.

He said the toll road would open an access to be connected to West Java’s new international airport or the Aerocity area in Kertajati, Majalengka.

Ahmad refused to go into details concerning the project, including how much it would cost the Chinese company.

"They have expressed their readiness to develop the Cisumdawu toll road but they want the regional administration to clear the land for the project. The regional administration has set the budget for the land clearing," he said.

The Chinese investor has also expressed interest in developing the Pasteur-Cicaheum-Cileunyi toll road, which is said to reduce maddening traffic congestion in Bandung.
