Komatsu to build parts recycling plant in Indonesia

Tokyo (ANTARA News) - Komatsu Ltd will build a new plant in Indonesia to recover engine and axle parts that need repair, refurbish them and then sell them as inexpensive replacement parts, the Nikkei reported, without citing sources.

The company will invest 900 mln yen to build a new plant there, and put it into service by July, the business newspaper was quoted by XFN Asia as saying.

The company already has refurbishing centers in seven countries worldwide, including the US, Australia and Chile, and is looking to add centers in China and India.

By the end of March 2011, it aims to more than double sales in the business to 50 bln yen, the report said.
