“ … Here is another one. A change in what Human nature will allow for government. "Careful, Kryon, don't talk about politics. You'll get in trouble." I won't get in trouble. I'm going to tell you to watch for leadership that cares about you. "You mean politics is going to change?" It already has. It's beginning. Watch for it. You're going to see a total phase-out of old energy dictatorships eventually. The potential is that you're going to see that before 2013.

They're going to fall over, you know, because the energy of the population will not sustain an old energy leader ..."

U.S. aid to boost agricultural sector

The Jakarta Post

MEDAN, North Sumatra: The United States government, through the Agribusiness Market and Support Activity (AMARTA) will provide US$14 million assistance to boost agrobusiness sector in 15 provinces.

The provinces are all of those on Sumatra and Sulawesi, except Southeast Sulawesi, Bali, East and West Nusa Tenggara, Maluku and Papua.

During a press conference in Medan on Thursday, Raffael Jabba from the Economic Growth Office of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) said the funds were in the form of a grant and would be implemented by AMARTA over a project period of three years.

Raffael said the assistance, which commenced in Sulawesi in October last year, was designed to boost the agrobusiness sector in Indonesia in a bid to raise employment opportunities, economic growth and people's welfare.

AMARTA chairman David J. Anderson said his office was preparing a training program for 20,000 farmers in Karo regency, North Sumatra, in an effort to boost crop productivity and quality as well as to open market access for the commodities.

He added the program would also involve shrimp farmers and the fishery sector in Aceh.
