You're going to see a total phase-out of old energy dictatorships eventually. The potential is that you're going to see that before 2013.

Citra Tubindo wins US$80 million order

The Jakarta Post

Batam-based steel pipe producer PT Citra Tubindo has secured a contract worth US$80 million from Qatar's RasGas Oil Company Ltd. for the supply of 30,000 metric tons of steel pipes to the Middle Eastern firm.

Monday's signing of the $80 million contract in Batam coincided with the presentation of an award from RasGas Oil to Citra Tubindo in recognition of the latter's ability to meet the standards set by the Qatari company.

In the picture above, RasGas drilling and completion manager Mark C. Moyer (left), hands the award to Citra Tubindo's general manager, Kris Wiluan (right), as Ras Gas Business Support Manager Jalam al-Anbari looks on.

Citra Tubindo produces about 120,000 tons of steel pipes a year, with about 70 percent of total production being exported. (JP/Fadli)
