Construction of Taman Ria Senayan Awaits Amdal

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Another shopping center will soon be constructed in Senayan, Central Jakarta. The developer will reconstruct Taman Ria Senayan to become a shopping center.

“We are not sure yet what the developer will build. Certainly, we are waiting for the environmental impact analysis (Amdal),” said the Jakarta Building Management and Supervision Office head, Hari Sasongko, yesterday.

However, Hari would not mention the name of the developer. He said the developer has fulfilled the administration requirements, such as the land ownership certificate. However, the office has not granted the permission because it is still waiting for the Amdal. “The Amdal will determine whether to give the license or not. The policy, however, is not our concern,” he said.
