China to build electric bicycle factory in East Kalimantan

Chinese electric bicycle producer Zhejiang LVJIA Vehicle Industry Co. Ltd has planned to build a factory in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.

East Kalimantan Governor Awang Faroek Ishak said Tuesday after signing a memorandum of understanding together with Zhejiang manager Taizhou Zhejiang that his province had allocated 50 hectares of land for the factory construction.

"The electric bicycle is without fuel, it fits East Kalimantan Green program," he said as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.

The electric bicycle would be sold at US$600 a unit
