TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The Jakarta and Beijing municipalities yesterday signed an agreement to extend the Sister City 2010-2011 program. The signing was done by Jakarta governor Fauzi Bowo and Beijing deputy mayor Ding Xiangyang at City Hall in Jakarta.
Fauzi Bowo expressed his interest in developing a subway system like the one built in Beijing. He hopes that Beijing can send its experts to provide assistance in developing the transportation system in Jakarta. “Beijing’s subway is very efficient,” Fauzi said.
