“ … Here is another one. A change in what Human nature will allow for government. "Careful, Kryon, don't talk about politics. You'll get in trouble." I won't get in trouble. I'm going to tell you to watch for leadership that cares about you. "You mean politics is going to change?" It already has. It's beginning. Watch for it. You're going to see a total phase-out of old energy dictatorships eventually. The potential is that you're going to see that before 2013.

They're going to fall over, you know, because the energy of the population will not sustain an old energy leader ..."

Standard Chartered bank to extend credits to SMEs soon

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Standard Chartered Bank will soon extend credits for the development of small- and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) and help to familarize the public with the package of government policies to empower SMEs in 10 Indonesian cities, a spokesman said.

"Standard Chartered will focus on the channeling of credits to the SME sector in Indonesia. The amount of the credits will depend on what the government is doing to create an economic climate favorable for ceditors," Simon Morris, SCB`s chief executive officer for Indonesia, said in a statement here Monday.

He said SBC was seeing there was still great market potential in the SME segment and was now determined to enlarge its share in the credit market in Indonesia.

According to latest statistics, there were now more than 44 million SMEs in Indonesia of which about 60,000 had already received bank credits and about 200,000 that had obtained loans from non-bank bodies and cooperatives.

SBC`s SME Banking would target the SME segment which had already been in business for more than three years, Morris said.

"Also we will prioritize SMEs that have a sales turnover of Rp900 million to Rp150 billion a year," he said.

Standard Chartered Bank is the first foreign bank in Indonesia that has given support to the Bank Indonesia`s and government`s initiative to empower SMEs.
