“ … Here is another one. A change in what Human nature will allow for government. "Careful, Kryon, don't talk about politics. You'll get in trouble." I won't get in trouble. I'm going to tell you to watch for leadership that cares about you. "You mean politics is going to change?" It already has. It's beginning. Watch for it. You're going to see a total phase-out of old energy dictatorships eventually. The potential is that you're going to see that before 2013.

They're going to fall over, you know, because the energy of the population will not sustain an old energy leader ..."

Dr M’s Loaf expands

KUALA LUMPUR (nstonline) : The Loaf, a life-style concept bakery and bistro jointly owned by former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, will soon expand to Kuala Lumpur.

First opened at the picturesque Perdana Quay in Telaga Habour Park along Pantai Kok in Langkawi 10 months ago, The Loaf hopes to stamp its mark with bread lovers in the Klang Valley by the end of the year.

Jiro Suzuki, Dr Mahathir’s business partner, says it will be in a prime location but is not saying yet where exactly.

Suzuki, the managing director of M&M Consolidated Sdn Bhd, the company that runs The Loaf, says plans are also in the pipeline to take overseas The Loaf’s fusion branding that incorporates Western, Japanese as well as Malaysian hospitality, technology skills and cuisine.

In the next two to three years, The Loaf hopes to spread to major resorts in Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore as well as leading cities such as New York, Tokyo, London and Paris.

The Loaf, Suzuki says, is looking at investment opportunities through joint venture partnerships or franchises.

Its pioneer outlet in Langkawi is located in a landscaped cove, a scenic area popular with a lot of yachting enthusiasts as it has a breathtaking view of the natural beauty of the resort island.

The Loaf’s signature products include freshly baked pastries and savouries such as croissants, rustique, fig tarts, baguette Levain and mutton curry — all expertly prepared by local employees, supervised by a Japanese chef. It uses Japanese baking techniques. — Bernama
