RPX inaugurates new transit warehouse

The Jakarta Post, Jakarta

Local cargo services provider RPX Group opened a second transit warehouse Wednesday in response to increasing imports and exports.

Located at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Cengkareng, Tangerang, the information technology-integrated building will facilitate exporters and importers with their air cargo shipments, RPX Group said in a media statement.

"With the inauguration of this fully integrated RPX cargo building, we will be able to improve the security of air-cargo shipments so as to ensure greater customer satisfaction," said CEO Harsha E. Joesoef.

Besides benefiting from the new warehouse, which stands on a site of 7,540 square meters, customers will also now be able to access online information on air-cargo shipments.

"The new building is designed to make the whole air-cargo delivery process to and from the airport easier and safer," said RPX warehouse managing director Ari H.K. Pane.

Established in 1985, RPX Group employs 1,500 people at 200 locations in 58 cities throughout the country. It also operates three Boeing 737-200 aircraft and more than 200 vans and trucks to serve customers by land, sea and air.

In addition, the company provides international cargo services in collaboration with international cargo-shipping company FedEx Corp.
