JAKARTA (XFN-ASIA) - The government has received bids for twelve of the 20 new oil blocks being offered via a tender, said R. Priyono, director for oil and gas upstream development at the energy ministry.
The bidders include Singapore Petroleum, ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, Andarko, Total, Chevron, Staat Oil and Petronas, he said.
'We are now evaluating the bids,' he told reporters.
He said state-run oil and gas firm PT Pertamina was the only local firm among the bidders.
Pertamina formed a consortium with Staat Oil to develop a block in Makassar Strait, he said.
