MAS to open Yogyakarta-Kuala Lumpur route

Yogyakarta (ANTARA News) - Malaysian Airlines (MAS) will open a new route between Yogyakarta (Indonesia) and Kuala Lumpur on February 1, 2008, a spokesman said.

"The new route will be served by Boeing 737-400s comprising economic and business classes," MAS District Manager for Indonesia Djulkefli Zakaria said here on Friday.

MAS would fly the route three times a week, namely every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday from Yogyakarta.

"The Yogyakarta-Kuala Lumpur route, like other routes in Indonesia, will be served in cooperation with Garuda Indonesia," he said.

At present MAS maintains air sevices from Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta, Medan, Denpasar and Surabaya.
