UNICEF hands over 17th primary school to West Aceh

Banda Aceh (ANTARA News) - Unicef has handed over the 17th primary school building to the West and Central Aceh district administration in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) province.

"The school building has been handed to the people in Peureulak village, Sungai Mas subdistrict," said Ardi Sofinar, Unicef information officer said in Meulaboh Thursday.

The school building which was constructed by Unicef will be used by the people of three districts, namely Aceh Jaya, Aceh Barat and Nagan Raya.

Ardi said at least nine new school buildings will also be handed over to the Aceh Jaya and Aceh Barat districts in the near future.

Head of the Unicef office in Meulaboh, Frederic Sizaret handed the keys of the school building symbolically to Hasan Abdullah, second assistant at the Aceh Barat district administration.
