Telecommunications firm PT Mobile-8 Telecom (FREN) is allocating Rp 1 trillion (US$110 million) to build 2,000 more towers as part of its expansion program.
“We want to double our base transceiver stations [BTS],” FREN president director Merza Fachys said Wednesday, as quoted by kontan.co.id.
FREN was recently able to raise Rp 3.7 trillion from a rights issue.
Currently, FREN has between 1,500 and 2,000 BTS.
