Czech tire company to launch US$1.2 bln Indonesia plant

Jakarta (ANTARA News/Asia Pulse) - Tire maker Matador Tires Group, from the Czech Republic, plans to build a tire factory in Indonesia with an investment of US$1.2 billion.

Aziz Pane, chairman of the Indonesian Association of Tire Producers, said Matador is interested in producing tires for armored cars and heavy duty trucks using German technology.

Tires for heavy equipment and armored cars have potential export market, Pane said.
