TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The National Development Planning Ministry has unveiled a cooperation system between Indonesia and the United Nations to promote development in Indonesia covering all plans up to the next four years which involve UN agencies.
Vice Development Planning Minister Lukita Dinarsyah said during the launch at his office today (10/8) the framework is related to the bid to push the government to meet the targets of Millenium Development Goals. "UNPDF is a operational plan which cooperation with UN agencies should be based on." Lukita said.
UN Resident Coordinator El-Mostaha Benlamih said in the same occasion that the main focus of the framework is to improve equality on access into resources, public services, and economic opportunities, and to promote effective participation, protection for the poor, and national and local resilience in dealing with climate change.
Through the framework the UN also aims to achieve effective financing by improve coordination between UN agencies
