Ternate, N Maluku (ANTARA News) - The office of the Ministry of People`s Housing has allocated Rp219 billion to finance a housing project designed for the people in Halmahera Utara district, North Maluku province, the Halut district head said.
Halmahera Utara District Head Hein Namotemo said here on Sunday that the project constituted the realization of a housing project proposal made by the Halut regional government to the ministry of people`s housing sometime ago.
He said that the local government had proposed a budget of Rp371 billion for the construction of the housing project but only Rp219 billion was approved.
The district is the only district in North Maluku which got a budget allocation for a housing project in 2010, he said.
