Finance Department Issues New Regulation on Government Projects

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Finance Department have introduced a new regulation earlier this month on projects in government institutions which requires new project reporting rules.

The Finance Minister Regulation No.56/PMK.02 of 2010 took effect on March 2nd 2010, requires all procurement projects funded by the state budget with over one-year term be reported to the Finance Ministry.

The Finance Department said only projects funded completely in rupiah will obtain approval from the ministry, but consulting works related to the projects are exempted from the rupiah funding regulation, enabling partial or full foreign financing on the type of service.

Projects covered in the regulation include bridge construction, dam, airport, seaport, or buildings, including consulting services.
