The Jakarta Cooperatives, SME and Trade Agency will extend Rp 46.7 billion in loans to 9,300 beneficiaries in 88 subdistricts across the city under the community economic empowerment scheme, an official said Wednesday.

The loans vary from Rp 300 million to Rp 540 million per subdistrict, said agency head Ade Suharsono.

“We’ll disburse the funds to all subdistricts this year. The amount will vary depending on their needs.”

He added the loans would be prioritized for those seeking to start new businesses.
