Indonesia will hold a new tender, offering 24 oil and gas blocks as part of efforts to boost investment and lift dwindling production, an official at the mines and energy ministry said.

In Indonesia's most recent tender, which was for 31 oil and gas blocks, 6 blocks were awarded to foreign and local companies including Canadian oil company Talisman Energy ,and Canadian Niko Resources . The remaining blocks received no expressions of interest from investors.
The new tender document will be provided on 15 December and the deadline for bids is 29 January , 2010, for some areas, or 14 April, 2010 for some others, reported Reuters.

- 8. Long Hubung-Long Bangun, onshore of Kutai, East Kalimantan
- 9. Malunda, offshore of Makassar Straits
- 10. Sadang, offshore of Makassar Straits
- 11. South Mandar, offshore of Makassar Straits
- 12. South Sageri, offshore of Makassar Straits
- 13. South East Andaman, offshore of North Sumatra
- 14. Tarakan I, offshore of East Kalimantan
- 15. Tarakan II, offshore of East Kalimantan
- 16. Tarakan III, offshore of East Kalimantan
