Russia`s Reshetnev to build satellite for Indonesian telco

Jakarta (ANTARA News/Asia Pulse) - Indonesia's largest telco PT Telkom (JSX:TLKM) has signed a US$200 million contract with Russia's ISS-Reshetnev for the procurement of a telecommunication satellite. 

Under the contract signed here yesterday, ISS Reshetnev will build the Telkom 3 telecommunication satellite, provide satellite control equipment and training and internship for Telkom technicians. 

The satellite, which will have 42 transponders, is expected to be ready for launch in August 2011, Rinaldi Firmansyah, the president of the state company, said.
