Ministry ready to call online tender for procurement

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Ministry of Communications and Informatics (Depkominfo) is ready to call on-line tenders for procurement of government goods and services through its website "e-Annuncement" and e-Pengadaan Pemerintah (SePP), Information Minister Muhammad Nuh said. 

The minister, who made the remark during the launch of the SePP system in his office here on Friday, said that his ministry was ready to organize and facilitate tenders for the procurement of goods and services for other government institutions. 

He said that his ministry had projected to organize over 100 packages of tenders through the SePP facility in 2009. 

The minister said that government institutions which had used the SePP system included the Batam Industrial Development Authority, the Transportation Ministry, the National Atomic Energy Agency, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), state-owned bank note printing company Peruri, insurance management company PT Taspen, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) regional government and National the Family Planning Coordination Agency (BKKBN). 

"Up to January 16, 2009, Depkominfo has put out to tenders for several procurement projects worth Rp925 trillion," the minister said. 

He said that Depkominfo had called tenders for 47 project packages since 2007, and 64 other tender packages in 2008 worth Rp871 billion, apart from 76 projects from the Batam Industrial Development Authority.
