Govt to auction Rp3 trillion worth of bonds

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian government will sell rupiah-denominated bonds worth Rp3 trillion in an auction to be held on February 12.

Proceeds from the auction of the fixed-rate bonds divided into series FR0048 due on Sept 15, 2018 and series FR0049 due on Sept 15, 2013 would be used to meet part of financing target in the 2008 state budget, Chief of the Public Relations Bureau at the Finance Ministry Samsuar Said said on Wednesday.

The bonds up for auction will carry an interest rate of 9.0 percent and have a par value of Rp1 million each.

The coupon of the series FR0048 bonds will be paid every March 15 and that of the series FR0049 every Sept 15.
