Indonesia`s PGN sets $171 mln capex for next year

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia's state-owned gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) said Thursday it is earmarking capital expenditure of 171 million US dollars for 2008, lower than the 480 million dollars it set aside for this year.

PGN corporate secretary Heri Yusuf told Thomson Financial that next year's capex will be used to finance the construction of a distribution pipeline network in the West Java area and the gas transmission pipeline linking Pagardewa and Labuan Maringai in South Sumatra.

The Pagardewa-Labuan Maringai section is part of PGN's South Sumatra-West Java (SSWJ) gas pipeline.
