Indonesia, Korea build training center

JAKARTA (Jakarta Post): The groundbreaking for the Indonesian-Korean Cooperation Center for Technique and Culture was held Friday in Ciracas, East Jakarta. The center is to become a training grounds for expatriate workers.

Officiating at the ceremony, Manpower and Transmigration Minister Eman Suparno said the center would help Koreans adapt to work conditions in Indonesia and do the same for Indonesian workers headed to Korea.

He said the new building, equipped with language training facilities, would not only fill the need for skilled labor but also strengthen bilateral relations.

The Korean government donated US$3,000,000 for the project through the Korean International Cooperation Agency. -- JP
