SBY inaugurates three projects in Central Sulawesi

PALU, Central Sulawesi (Antara): President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono Wednesday inaugurated three development projects in Palu district, Central Sulawesi on Wednesday.

The projects are Mpanau Steam-generated Power Plant in Palu town, Hanga-Hanga Hydro-generated Power Plant in Banggai district, and Teluk Palu bridge at Palu bay.

Attending the event were Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Public Works Minister Joko Kirmanto, state electricity company PT PLN President Director Eddi Widiono, Central Sulawesi Governor Bandjel Paliudju, Palu Mayor RusdiMastura, and Banggai district head Makmun Amir.

Earlier on Tuesday, Yudhoyono laid the cornerstone for the construction of an Islamic boarding school in Poso, inaugurating the rehabilitation of five mosques at Tokorondo village in Poso Pesisir subdistrict, and five Christian houses of worship in Tentena district.

The president arrived in provincial capital of Palu early Monday.
