‘Aneka Tambang’ Wants to Acquire Gold Mines

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: PT Aneka Tambang is planning to acquire gold mines in Kalimantan and Sulawesi.

“We are evaluating the places to be acquired, especially as national assets,” said Dedy Aditya Sumanagara, Managing Director of Antam (Aneka Tambang), during a break of State-Owned Enterprises Forum in Jakarta, yesterday (04/12).

Dedy said that the company could not only depend on exploration . In addition to the acquisition plan of PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara, he said at the moment it is still being examined.

He said that next year, the company will target a production capacity of ferronickel to 22 thousand tons per year. Today, factory's capacity reaches 20 thousand tons per year.

In addition, the revenues of the first quarter of the year has increased 30-40 percent compared to the same period of last year. The increase occurred since the price and the selling have increased. However, he refused to mention the amount of earnings.
