Genting BHd to invest US$3 bln in Indonesia biofuel

Kuala Lumpur (ANTARA News) - Genting Bhd plans to invest 3 bln usd to build a biofuel plant in Indonesia, the New Straits Times reported.

Citing sources, the report said the investment will be made through Genting Biofuels Asia Pte Ltd, incorporated in Singapore and wholly-owned by Gecoun Ltd.

It also said that a Genting official has confirmed that the group has entered into a cooperation agreement with a local government for the biofuel venture.
