Burger King to open in Indonesia

Miami (ANTARA News) - Burger King Holdings Inc., the world's No. 2 burger chain, said Thursday said it will begin opening restaurants in Indonesia in June.

Burger King said its subsidiary, BK AsiaPac Pte Ltd. gave development rights for Indonesia to PT Sari Burger Indonesia, which is principally owned by PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tk.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The first restaurant will open in Jakarta.

Burger King operates more than 11,100 restaurants in the U.S. and 65 countries and U.S. territories.
